| Successful Sale for the Cancer Council
To celebrate 25 years of breeding Murray Grey cattle, David and Sally Taylor of Baroona Park Stud decided to offer for sale a 16 month old heifer at the Top of the Range Murray Grey and Greyman Sale at Haden, near Toowoomba and direct the proceeds to the Cancer Council Queensland. Their family, as have so many others, had been affected by cancer, so they felt that this would be a very effective way to acknowledge their silver anniversary of breeding Murray Greys.
The heifer, Baroona Park Chloe, carried some of the best of the Baroona Park bloodlines and she attracted a lot of attention at the sale. After some spirited bidding Chloe was sold to Scott Antcliff and Amanda Woollam from Tuckeroo Stud, Northern NSW. Scott and Amanda were extremely pleased to acquire Chloe as she will join several other females that they purchased at the sale.
Several people at the sale made personal donations to the cause, the sale organizers, Steve and Kylie Dummett contributed by not charging sale entry fees and donating a further $200 and the selling agent Paul O’Sullivan did not charge commission on the sale. The total proceeds to the Cancer Council amounted to $2500.
